There are nearly 3000 artificial satellites orbiting the Earth, each of which carries the risk of being compromised by hackers. This episode of Freethink’s series Coded, delves into the world of legal hacking and those who make it their mission to highlight the vulnerability of these manmade satellites.
Enclave travelled to Oxford to film with Rhodes Scholar and Oxford University PHD candidate James Pavur. James works with security experts to expose the vulnerability of these satellites and the sensitive data transferred through them, having found that many could be compromised and hacked using only £220 of home television gear.
